7.0/10

The hotel was at the back of the hotel with a partial view of the railway track some 30m away, ground level, and cellar-level with steps leading down. Despite a mix-up regarding our suite booking, the rooms looked nice, and the receptionist considered it a luxury double room.

Rooms
7.0
The room had a partial view of the railway track, but it was still nice and comfortable despite the confusion with the booking.
Service
8.0
The receptionist and staff were very friendly and helpful, offering advice on various activities and services.
Location
7.0
The location was convenient with a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. However, it could be noisy with windows open, and the extra charge for Wi-Fi was a downside.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs, with good options but some reheated items. Order customization was available, but limitations like one piece of toast per person were a bit restrictive.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers essential facilities like dry cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping services.

6.0/10

The hotel had a mix of pros and cons: the rooms were old and in need of refurbishment but spacious, the service was excellent but the dining was subpar. The location was convenient for beach access although some noise issues were noted.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were spacious for three people and beautifully presented, but old and in need of refurbishment.
Service
8.0
The staff were lovely, friendly, and very helpful, performing miracles with what they had in terms of service quality.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was fab, a short walk to the beach, shops, and various restaurants, despite some noise and Wi-Fi charges.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was below par with poorly reheated food and limited options, although the staff were attentive.

7.0/10

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, offering great advice on things to do and places to eat. However, the rooms were in need of a makeover and varied in quality from very good to just acceptable, especially at the rear of the hotel. The location was convenient, but the noise levels and additional charges for Wi-Fi were minor drawbacks.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were in need of a comprehensive makeover, with some appearing tired and unloved. As a wheelchair user, I found the accommodations acceptable but clearly in need of renovation.
Service
8.0
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, providing advice on food and travel. While service was sparse, the receptionist's multitasking serving in the bar and restaurant was impressive.
Location
7.0
The location was good and convenient, offering easy access to nearby towns like Babbacombe, Teignmouth, and Dawlish for day trips. Despite being somewhat noisy with open windows, the area still had its delightful charms.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience offered traditional fare but fell short on quality with reheated sausages and potatoes. Service was friendly but there were limitations on the breakfast options.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers dry cleaning and laundry services, providing some additional convenience for guests.
